The IVI–IPO has been in existence since 1944. It has been dedicated to good government activism and an idealistic vision of open, honest government in Illinois through pragmatic means that confront cynicism and corruption with equal force. The organization's primary tools are voter's registration, voter information and candidate endorsement. They also lobby on behalf of governmental reforms designed to open the system and inform the public. _________________________

Illinois National Organization for Women (NOW)
Political Action Committee (PAC)

The IL NOW PAC bases its endorsements on candidate responses to questionnaires, interviews and/or experience with candidates, and chapter recommendations. "To earn our full endorsement is no easy task," said Chair Bonnie Grabenhofer. "Candidates need to support our issues including reproductive rights, economic justice, pay equity, civil rights for all people including equal marriage, and preventing violence against women."

Americans for Democratic Action (ADA)
ADA is America's most experienced independent liberal lobbying organization. In the spirit of the New Deal and ADA founders Eleanor Roosevelt, renowned economist John Kenneth Galbraith, and former Senator and Vice President Hubert Humphrey we lobby through coalition partnerships, through direct advocacy, and through the media. Our lobbying philosophy is based on democratic action - motivating our grassroots members to lobby their senators and representatives as constituent-advocates.
